What's Changing

gPanel now includes a report that lists documents shared externally from shared drives. Administrators will now have even more insight to all documents shared with outside audiences from within their domain.

Why It’s Important

In order to ensure data security, enforce policy adherence, and prevent unauthorized sharing of confidential information, Workspace admins must be aware of what employees are sharing with external audiences in shared drives.

gPanel now enables all documents shared with external audiences on shared drives to be viewed in a report. Then within gPanel, admins can act on this data by revoking access to documents, changing ownership, and other critical actions, when needed.

Rollout Pace

Deployed to gPanel Standard on April 3, 2023.

Available to gPanel Standard customers.
Not available to gPanel Starter customers.
