We’ve expanded decommissioning actions to give admins more control during offboarding.

New options include:

Remove User from Shares
Remove User’s Shares

Why This Matters

Offboarding is one of the trickiest moments in Google Workspace. These new options make it easier to fully clean up access, reduce manual follow up work, and avoid leaving files unintentionally shared. It is a simpler, more complete way for IT teams to handle deprovisioning with confidence.

Rules Engine Expanded Notification Detail

Rules Engine notifications now include:

The actor that initiated the activity
The number of occurrences that triggered the rule

Why This Matters

Reduces investigation time and gives admins immediate context without needing to run additional reports

Bug Fixes

Warning Added Before Removing Archived Users From All Shared Drives
- Automation > New Decom Policy > Action: Remove From All Shared Drive > New warning note
- Archived users cannot be removed from Shared Drives. A clearer in-product warning has been added to set expectations and prevent confusion.
Tier Messaging Added to Email Exports
- Automation > New Decom Policy > Action: Gmail Export > Tier Check with note
- Automatic Gmail export to a user’s Drive upon Decommission completion is an Enterprise feature. Clearer tier messaging has been added in the UI.
Domain Selection Issue Resolved
- Directory > Create Group > Select Domain
- Resolved an issue preventing domain selection during group creation.
User Profile Report Fixed
- Resolved an issue where automated User Profile Reports were returning blank results.

Primary Calendar Deletion Handling Improved
- Deleting a user’s primary calendar now correctly removes associated events, preventing system errors.
Drive Sweep Stability
- Resolved an issue that caused:
  - Reappearing Drive Sweeps that had been deleted
  - Unexpected runs occurring outside scheduled intervals
  - Jobs remaining stuck in processing
  - Secondary sweeps completing with zero activity due to execution conflicts
Admin Access to Gmail Exports
- Resolved an issue where valid Super Admins were receiving a Google Apps Terms of Service error when accessing Gmail Export via Import/Export
