Feature Updates

UI/UX Improvements

We've rolled out several updates to our User Interface (UI) this month, including: 

• Standardized modal dialogs (i.e., overlay windows) have been applied across: User Management, Drive Sweep, Drive Search, Drive Explorer, Signature Templates, Groups, Group Templates, Organizational Units, Shared Contacts, gPanel Contacts, Contact Sync, gMail deletion, gMail Export, Bulk Operations, Policies, Reports, Chrome Devices, Mobile Management, Resource Templates, Resource Calendars, Decommissioning, and Shared Drives.

• A drawer-based interface (i.e., sliding panels that enter from the edge of the screen) has been introduced for Signature Templates, Drive Sweep, and Decommissioning.

• Reports are now organized into two collapsible sections: Domain Pinned Reports and All Reports. A report can only appear in one section at a time. Pinning supports both individual and global permissions, allowing admins to highlight reports domain-wide while users retain personal customization.

• The export function is now available on mobile devices.
• Breadcrumb navigation (i.e., text near the top of the web page stating which gPanel module you're in) has been added across the entire platform.
• Quick reports are now available in the Drive section via the graph icon in the top right corner.
  
  
• A clear (x) button has been added to Search and Permissions fields.

• Added Report Status Indicators such as Report Running (Enabled) and Run Report (Disabled/Enabled) to grid views. 
  

• Updated header steppers for: Create User, Create Resource Calendar, Create Resource Template, Create Report, Create Rule Engine, Create Policy, Create Signature Template, Create Decommissioning Policy, Create Drive Sweep, Contact Sync, Create Bulk Operation, Create Gmail Deletion, Create Welcome Template, and Add License. 

Why This Matters

These updates make our platform more intuitive, polished, and require less clicks.

Customer Feature Requests

Here are some features requests made by real gPanel users that we've added to the platform this month: 

• Now, within policies, there is a date picker available for ‘Set Run Date.’ This will allow our users to dictate the specific date and time a policy is run. For example, you can configure a policy to remove all public shares on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
• Now, when you multi-select files and folders, the sharing icon appears in the top right corner. Clicking this icon will allow you to bulk share the files and documents within that Shared Drive.
• We've added a User Suspended column to the License Type report. 
• We've added the Job Title field to the OU Directory. Note: this field will populate for updates going forward; historical indexing is in progress. 
• We've added a new Group Description field to the Group Membership report. 
• Decommissioning: External and internal shares are now separated during share removal

Why This Matters

Implementing feature requests from real gPanels customers is one of the best ways we continuously optimize the Workspace management platform to give admins the tools they need to manage their Google Workspace domain more securely and effectively.

Bug Fixes 

• Improved monitoring and investigation of recurring automated email notifications to identify and resolve potential stuck processes or underlying system issues.
• Fixed an issue where signature template profile images rendered incorrectly in Microsoft Outlook due to dynamic image tags not applying strict width/height attributes, causing inconsistent image sizing.
• Fixed an issue in Export Admin Logs where reports incorrectly returned only the requesting admin’s actions, and improved log report structure by consolidating pagination, standardizing column headers, and adding API key masking for external API data.
• Fixed an issue where manually executed user policies updating manager information did not honor the configured exclusion list, causing excluded users within the targeted group to be updated unexpectedly.
